The Newbern Library will be celebrating the launch of the James Webb Telescope on Saturday, February 26, at 10:30 a.m. The telescope will be part of an event used to teach area youth about the latest NASA mission, where a telescope was launched into space on Christmas Day. Funded by the NASA at My Library grant, and awarded by the Alabama Library Association, the event will have games and various crafts to simulate a space mission. A supplementary video will also be shown, discussing the Webb telescope’s progress and mirror alignments from NASA.
