Roy Darryhl Barnette, 71 of Greensboro, AL went to his eternal home on February 16, 2022. He was born on April 17, 1950, in Greensboro to Roy Virgil Barnette and Doris Virginia Scarbrough Barnette. He was a self employed retail owner and a military veteran.
He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his sons Darryhl Chadwick Barnette (Evelyn) of Tuscaloosa, AL and Kevin Virgil Barnette (Jillian) also of Tuscaloosa; his brothers: Stephen Barnette (Pam), Emory Barnette, Donald Barnette (Gayle), and Ronald Barnette (Alice). He is also survived by four grandchildren: Jake Barnette, Evan Barnette, Eva Barnette, and Sophie Barnette.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 19, 2022 from 11:00 – 11:45 am at Kirk Funeral Home Greensboro Chapel. A graveside service followed at 12:00 p.m.at Oakwood Cemetery in Greensboro, AL with Rev. Steve Vernon officiating and Kirk Funeral Homes, Greensboro Chapel directing. Pallbearers were: Chad Barnette, Kevin Barnette, Chris Barnette, Reagan Barnette, Buzzy Barnette, and Finley James.
