Bring your entire family to the Perry County Community Arts Festival. The University of Alabama Artistic Literacy Consortium (ALC), is to offer residents the opportunity to enjoy music, hands-on art, dance, food, and more. The event will take place on Saturday, March 19th at the site of the historical Lincoln Normal School in Marion, Alabama. The organizers have assembled a diverse collection of local and regional artists. Featured local artists include Mary Moore, Tabitha Jones, Della Maynor, and Seeds of Hope. Throughout the event local high school students will also be presenting their original works. These works were created during an arts residency at Francis Marion and Robert C. Hatch high schools with ALC artists over an 8-week period.
This event is free and open to the public. The event will follow sanitation and social distancing guidelines and participants are strongly encouraged to wear a mask.
