Jermaine “Big Daddy” Davis died Friday, May 7 at his home at the age of 37.
He was born to Doris Davis and Hardy L. Paige on January 8, 1985 in Greensboro. He confessed Christ on May 6, 2022.
He was a 2003 graduate of Greensboro High School. He was a cool, fun, loveable, and peaceful person to be around. His spirit lifted anyone who encountered his presence. His smile was contagious and memorable. He loved to cook. He loved his family, especially his mother, whom he called “Lil’ Baby” and “MaDear”.
He is preceded in death by his father, Hardy L. Paige.
Survivors include his mother, Doris “MaDear” Davis, who stayed by his bedside; six siblings, Hardy Joe “Lil Joe Bru” Davis, Lisa “Big Sister” (Charles) Harris, Barbara “Lu” Davis, Shemekia Jenell “Lil Nell” Davis, Javoris (Goreth) Davis, and JaBaris Qual Davis; three aunts, Carrie Sawyer, Wanda (Patrick) Williams, and Shirley Rainey; five uncles, William C. (Tracie) Davis, Junior C. Davis, Timothy (Heather) Jefferies, and Patrick (Monica) Paige; special friend, LaTasha Edwards; six special nieces; 6 special nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Saturday, May 14 at Pine Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Greensboro with the Rev. James Franks officiating and Washington and Paige Mortuary directing.
