Tommy “Bama” Battle died June 3 at the age of 55.
He was born July 8, 1966 to the late Willie B. Battle and Willie Mae Battle.
He is preceded in death by four sisters, Bertha Battle Luella Jones, Mary Scott, Judy Battle, and one brother, Willie J. Battle.
Survivors include a son, Quinterrell Ra’Kendrick Battle of Jersey City, N.J.; four sisters, Mary Brown of Port Huron, Mich., Emma Battle of Uniontown, Lorine Rhone of Fairburn, Ga., and Virginia Bartley of Cleveland; a brother, Robert Battle of Lithia, Fla.; and a host of nieces, nephews, relative, and friends who will miss him dearly.
Funeral services were held Friday, June 10 at Washington and Paige Mortuary Chapel in Greensboro with the Rev. Joe L. Hamilton officiating and Washington and Paige Mortuary directing.
