On behalf of the Hale County Hospital, we are delighted to introduce Dr. Crystal Skinner. She is one of the newest additions to the medical team and is elated to be part of the team. Dr. Skinner is originally from Tuscaloosa and graduated from the University of Alabama with an undergraduate and master’s degree. She decided to continue her education at the University of Nebraska, where she obtained an additional master’s degree before attending medical school at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
When asked why she decided to become a doctor, Dr. Skinner notes that it was due to spiritual inclinations and reasons that drew her to the field of medicine. Additionally, she mentions that her experiences shadowing a local family medicine physician in her hometown drew her interest in local community medicine. Dr. Skinner is excited to build strong relationships with her patients and believes that these relationships will aid in the health of her patients.
Some of her hobbies include watching and supporting Alabama football, watching softball, hunting with her family, and spending time outdoors. Other fun facts about Dr. Skinner are that she likes tattoos, and has a few herself. Finally, Dr. Skinner will be practicing at the Moundville clinic and will be conducting rounds at the Greensboro and Moundville hospitals.
