In a social media posting shared by the school district, it was outlined that “As a district, we will support the decision individual students and families make regarding the wearing or not wearing of face masks and ask that others be supportive of these choices as well.”
The update in masking came with a footnote, clarifying that the Perry County Board of Education could reinstate a masking policy, in accordance to rates of infectious disease. Also, schools will supply masks to students who requests them.
Uniforms will be required of students to wear daily, which include: collared polo shirts; navy, black, blue, or khaki pants; jackets, pullovers, and sweaters with no obscene language and/or illegal substances; and closed-toe shoes, with an emphasis on no Crocs or slides being permitted.
