Greensboro resident folk artist Jessie Lavon will be hosting her Folk Art Sale with Friends, this Saturday, September 3, from 10 AM to 4 PM. The event will be on the apartment lawn of 605 Centreville Street in Greensboro.
Lavon has a day of fun and friendship planned for all interested in coming to her yard. Local artists, food, and music will all be on display in the heart of downtown Greensboro. Abadir’s will be providing baked goods and snacks, Aaron Head will be displaying textiles crafted from his studio, and a surprise guest is in store for the children in attendance.
Lavon will also be selling her work during the event, pieces that are typically sought after by galleries across the globe. Lavon’s daughter, Bonnie Reid, will also be on hand selling her own folk art at the event.
There will be no parking available to the public for the event. The Folk Art Sale with Friends is free of admission and is open to everyone.
