The Hale County Long Term Recovery Committee in collaboration with NACA (Neighborhood Assistance Corporation of America), the nation’s largest nonprofit homeownership and advocacy organization, is hosting an affordable homeownership and renovation event, “Achieve the Dream,” for four days, January 13 -16, at the Greensboro Recreation Center (the former National Guard Armory), 515 Green St., Greensboro, AL 36744. The “Achieve the Dream” event will be a unique opportunity for NACA staff to help homebuyers (including renters) qualify onsite for a mortgage, and homeowners to modify their existing mortgage or obtain funds for renovations.
Homebuyers can receive same-day mortgage qualification for NACA’s Best in America mortgage, which includes: no down-payment, no closing costs, and no mortgage insurance at below market fixed rates without consideration of one’s credit score or current income. Homebuyers, homeowners, and renters will also receive on-site one-on-one housing counseling assistance.
“The Hale County Long Term Recovery Committee focuses on helping our fellow residents obtain safe, stable, and affordable housing and wealth creation. We are excited about our partnership with NACA – homeownership is an effective way for families to grow their generational wealth,” said Marilyn Pickens, Chairperson, Hale County Long Term Recovery Committee.
The event and all NACA services are free of charge, and open to all. Doors will be open 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. each day. Registration for the event is at www.naca.com or (425) 602-6222 and walk-ins are welcome.
