A one-vehicle accident kept part of Highway 5 south of Marion blocked for a time on Tuesday afternoon. Though no injuries were apparent, two officers from Marion Police Department were on the scene to direct traffic until the wrecked vehicle, a commercial truck carrying bottled propane gas, could be pulled out of the ditch. The driver of the truck apparently lost control of the vehicle and slid off the highway, bottoming out on the edge of the pavement.
