Uniontown names Officer Robert Sykes as the new Interim Police Chief. This is their 3rd Interim Chief since the termination of Chief Weems in spring of 2022.
This is Sykes second tenure as Uniontown’s Interim Chief after he was named to the role in 2021. For Uniontown, this is another attempt of finding its footing and building up its Department since the problems of 2022. While at times the future has looked bright for the Department, there is still a need for more progress to be made and the City’s hopes rest on Sykes to maintain stability as he once again adopts the Interim Chief label for the City.—Sebastian Nail
