J. Kinyard Lee, 83 of Marion, AL went to his eternal home on January 21, 2023. He was born on September 14, 1939 in McKenzie, AL to O.M. Lee and Lena Wiggins Lee. He was an industrial machinist. He was also a deacon at Faith Chapel Baptist Church and a former Chief for the Hamburg Volunteer Fire Department.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Mary Margaret Waldrop Lee; his sister Margie Hazelwood; and his brothers Cadar Lee, Marshall Lee, Scott Lee, and Daniel Lee. He is survived by his son, Dr. William Shane Lee (Deborah) of Marion; his sisters Betty Sargent (Robert) of Graysville, AL, and Doris Wheaton (Tom) OF Atlanta, GA; his sister in law, June Lee of Springfield, VA; his grandson Dr. William Ben Lee (Dr. Hannah), his granddaughter, Margaret A. Lee of Birmingham, AL; and his greatgranddaughters, Bonnie Gene Lee and Daisy Lorraine Lee of Marion.
Funeral services were held on Monday, January 30, 2023 at at Faith Chapel Baptist Church in Marion with the Rev. Loyd Storkman officiating and Kirk Funeral Homes, Marion Chapel directing. Interment was at the Lee Family Cemetery on Highway 45 in Marion.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Faith Chapel Baptist Church.
