One arrest has been made in connection with the death of a Greensboro man early Monday morning, May 1. Police are calling the death of Nicholas Nixon, 27, a murder.
Nixon’s body was found outside Griffin Mandela Apartments, in an area behind one of the buildings, at around 12:55 a.m. on Monday.
One person was reportedly in custody as of Wednesday morning, however the Watchman had not been able to confirm the suspect’s identity as of press time.
The ALEA State Bureau of Investigation, which often steps in to investigate homicides in smaller towns and counties, is the lead agency on the case.
Greensboro Police Chief Willie Lewis said Wednesday morning that the murder was still under investigation, with SBI currently in the process of following up a number of leads.
