Francis Marion School had Dr. Cathy Trimble as the featured speaker for their ongoing Motivational Monday series of lectures. A native of Marion, Dr. Trimble has spent over 30 years involved in education and working with students. In those 30 years, Dr. Trimble gained experience as a coach, teacher, assistant principal, and a principal.
She spoke to students in the Francis Marion auditorium, encouraging students to start over and reset in the new year. Dr. Trimble emphasized the importance of pursuing dreams, telling students to give the best they can give. In a post on their social media, Francis Marion School thanked Dr. Trimble for the motivational talk, writing, “Thank you Dr. Trimble for inspiring and encouraging our students.”
