Ralph Cole, 81 of Greensboro, AL went to his eternal home on Friday, February 9, 2024. He was born on January 17, 1943, to David Talmage Cole and Marie Crocker Cole. He was a veteran and a farmer.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his sisters Kate Baker, Ernestine Prisoc, Leon “Punk” Lavender, Wilhelmina Massey, Carrie Roberts, Daisy Hoots, and Thelma “Possum” Watkins; and his brothers, Herman Cole, Bill Cole, DT Cole, Clarence Cole, John Cole, and Frank Cole.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Geneva Harris Cole of Greensboro; his son Ralph Cole, Jr. (Jessica) of Greensboro; his daughters Lisa Cole, and Lynn Marsh (Bill) of Greensboro; his sisters Dorothy Clements, Virginia Hall, Becky Holley, and Christine Roberts; and his brothers Henry Cole and JC Cole.
He is also survived by seven grandchildren Danielle Ford, Catherine Wilhite (Timmy), Cole Marsh (Kelcie), Justin Cole (Kaylan), Shelby Marsh, Audrey Marsh, and Brett Cole; and six great-grandchildren Hartley Ford, Bradlee Wilhite, Hayden Griffin, Elaina Wilhite, River Wilhite, and Addie Mae Marsh.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, February 14, 2024, from 10:00 to 11:00 am at the House of Praise Worship Center in Greensboro, AL. Funeral Service followed at 11:00 with Rev. Tom Strickland and Brother Steve Vernon officiating and Kirk Funeral Homes, Greensboro Chapel directing. Pallbearers were Cole Marsh, Justin Cole, Brett Cole, Timmy Wilhite, Mike Whaley, Dan Broussard, John Brame, and Kevin Brunson. Honorary Pall-bearers were Don Callicott, Cliff Mangum, Dr. Larry Skelton and staff, and the Southern Care Hospice. Interment was held at the family cemetery.
