Punnie J. Evans, a longtime resident of Marion, Alabama, passed away on March 2, 2024, at the age of 74. Visitation for Punnie was held on Friday, March 8, 2024, from 9 AM to 5 PM at Ashley’s Lee & Rollins Chapel. Her body was laid in state at Marion Baptist Academy from 11 AM to 12 PM. The Celebration of Life service took place on Saturday, March 9, 2024, at 12 Noon at Marion Baptist Academy, with interment following at Union Baptist Church Cemetery. Ashley’s Lee & Rollins Funeral Home directed.
