On April 24, Cadet Joshua Gandy was playing golf at Marion Military Institute’s Golf Course. He teed off from one of the hardest holes and hit an unbelievable pitching wedge shot that traveled 145 yards uphill over a pond. The ball landed on the green and bounced twice before hitting the pin and falling into the hole. This resulted in a hole-in-one on the course’s Signature Hole #5. It was the first time Cadet Gandy had ever hit a hole-in-one. His playing partners for the day included Cadets Jake Smithson and Will Keller.
