The Lady Rams volleyball team took on Greensboro and R.C. Hatch in a tri-match on August 22nd. The Rams loss both matches, but all the ladies showed major growth after a summer of practicing compared to the previous three years since the school started their volleyball program. The scores were closer to these two teams than they were the previous years, and both opposing coaches expressed how impressed they were with the growth the team has made. Of the 14 ladies, only 5 of the players are returning from the previous year. The other 9 ladies had never played volleyball before until this season. Coach John Bolding and Coach Elaine Evans, both entering their first year as volleyball coaches, spent the summer prioritizing individual ball control skills, trusting one another, and fitness. They all worked hard and it showed in their first match. The coaches have several improvements they recognized during the match that the team will work on prior to their next set of games in hopes to begin a winning streak!!
