Margaret Ann Lovelady Cannon, 84 of Marion, AL went to her eternal home on September 30, 2024. She was born on October 30, 1939 in Chilton County, AL to Jasper Lenard Lovelady and Elizabeth Smith Lovelady. She worked as a seamstress for Marion Manufacturing.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gerald Don Cannon; and her son, Barry Smith. She is survived by her daughter, Lisa Drewry; her son Jerry Cannon, Jr. (Beth); her brother, Bobby Lovelady (Betty Lou); and her grandchildren, Michael Drewry and Anthony Drewry (Ansley).
Visitation was held from 1:00 – 2:00 pm on Saturday, October 5, 2024 at the Waycross Bible Methodist Church in Marion, AL. Funeral services began at 2:00 pm, also at the church with the Rev. Mike Pebble and the Rev. Randall Crotts officiating and Kirk Funeral Homes, Marion Chapel directing. Interment followed at the Waycross Bible Methodist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers were: Michael Drewry, Anthony Drewry, Zac Rogers, Don Clements. Tom Wilburn, and Mike Drewry. Honorary pallbearers were her “Special Friends” Kay Wilburn and Linda Clements. In lieu of flowers, a memorial may be made to the Waycross Bible Methodist Church and/or the cemetery.
