Bid Documents may be obtained from the Architect by digital access/file sharing access for no fee, and/or on CD (PDF format) for a one time deposit of $75.00 (non-refundable; separate check), and/or upon deposit of $200.00 per set (separate check), which will be refunded in full on the first two (2) sets issued to each bidder submitting a bonafide bid, upon return of documents in good and reusable condition within ten (10) days of bid date. A PRE-BID CONFERENCE will be held at the Perry County Correctional Center, 4805 Highway 80 East, Uniontown, AL 36786; at 10:00 AM LOCAL TIME, ON THURSDAY, MARCH 6, 2025, for the purpose of reviewing the project and answering Bidder’s questions. Attendance at the Pre-Bid Conference is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED for all General Contractor Bidders intending to submit a Proposal, as well as for all Subcontractors.
This project is being bid EXCLUDING TAXES, and requires the Contractor comply with the requirements of Act 2013-205, which was signed into law on May 9, 2013. The Contractor and the Owner will be required to apply for Certificates of Exemption with the Alabama Department of Revenue which will handle administration of the Certificates. SECTION 2. That the mayor and the city clerk be, and they hereby are, authorized and directed to execute and attest, respectively, for and on behalf of the city of Greensboro, Alabama, a warranty deed, a copy of which is on file in the office of the city clerk, whereby the city of Greensboro, Alabama, does convey the premises described in Section 1, hereof to: Project Horseshoe Farm, Inc. for and in consideration of the sum of One Hundred Thirty Thousand and no/100 Dollars ($130,000.00).

Ordinance 2025-02
Establishing the Salary of the Mayor and Council Members
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GREENSBORO, ALABAMA AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the salary of the mayor of the City of Greensboro, Alabama shall be and the same is hereby fixed at $20,000 annually to be paid in 12 equal installments of $1,666.66 monthly.
Section 2. Each council member shall be compensated in the sum of $150 per meeting attended. The definition of a meeting includes regular, special, call, council workshops, municipal training, classes, or conferences.
Section 3. This ordinance shall become effective on the first Monday in November 2025 and shall continue in force and effect until repealed by action of the council.
Section 4. The provisions of this ordinance are hereby declared severable; if any portion of this ordinance shall be held unconstitutional or otherwise invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, such ruling shall not affect the remaining portions of this ordinance.

Lawn Service Proposal
The Greensboro Housing Authority, located at 101 Centerville Circle in Greensboro, Alabama, is accepting proposals for lawn service (care) of 66 apartment units and an office located at four (4) different site locations:
- Hobson Court (St.) – 10 units, plus across the street near the old John Deere
- Centerville Circle (St.) – 23 units off Highway 25, going toward Heartland Catfish
- Jackson Street (Heights) – 18 units behind Greensboro High/Middle School
- Country Meadows (Knight St.) – 16 units located off Highway 69 North to Tuscaloosa The proposal must include:
- Cutting and weed-eating of all lawns to the property line at the front and back of apartments
- Blowing excess grass from all porches, sidewalks, and AC units
- Edging and removal of grass inside sidewalks
- Trimming of shrubs as needed during the cutting, as directed by the Executive Director
Requirements:
- You must live within a 35- mile radius.
- Your proposal must include proof of liability insurance, a tax ID number or Social Security number, and the per-cutting amount for all properties.
- Cutting must be completed for all sites within 24 hours.
The awarding of the contract will be for a three (3) year term. The Housing Authority reserves the right to terminate the contract at any time if services are not satisfactory. Additionally, the Housing Authority reserves the right to reject any and all proposals and is not obligated to select the lowest bid.
