Two Perry County teens arrested for first-degree robbery on March 3

Two 18-year-old men have been arrested on felony charges of first-degree robbery in Perry County. Demarcus Johnson of Uniontown, and Fredrick Wilson of Tuscaloosa were both arrested on Monday, March 3 and charged with first-degree robbery and second-degree burglary.

The criminal complaints against both men allege that on or about February 18, the two suspects unlawfully entered a Perry County home with the intent to commit a theft.

Johnson and Wilson are accused of using force, or the threat of force, to prevent resistance from the legal occupants of the home in their attempt to escape with the occupant’s property, in this case money.

Court documents say the men were armed with handguns, which they allegedly used to threaten two people in the home. Johnson and Wilson allegedly overpowered the occupant and took $18 from him. According to court records, Johnson and Wilson are both in custody at the Perry County Jail. As of press time, bond had not yet been set for either suspect.
