The Perry County School District 2022-2023 academic year begins Monday, August 8, 2022. In celebration of this, Perry County Commissioner Albert Turner, Jr. and Alabama State Senator Bobby Singleton are sponsoring a back to school event on Sunday, August 7. From 1 PM to 4 PM children from kindergarten to fourth grade can enjoy free food and fun before the end of summer. Chopped by Boobie’s Damon “DatDude” Bates will be providing part of the events refreshments and fun.
