The 2023 AISA State Golf Tournament was held at the Prattville Country Club on Monday April 24, 2023. Eleven AISA schools participated with Southern Academy coming out on top. Southern Academy took the Championship shooting +15 and Glenwood School took the runner- up position with a +39 score. This was the first state title for the Southern Academy Golf Program.
Southern had five players attend this year’s tournament: Seniors Nick Arnold, Will Gully, Hardy McMillan, George Tucker and Junior Campbell Webb. Two players were chosen to the AISA All Tournament Team: Campbell Webb with second place overall finish, and NIck Arnold took fifth Place. Rounding out the top ten golfers at the tournament were Hardy McMillan and George Tucker, both finishing sixth overall.
The Southern Academy Golf team is coached by Don McMillan.
