Cheryl Rowley King, born Jan. 20, 1949 in Ohio and a longtime resident of Selma, Alabama, went to join the Lord on Wednesday, January 10, 2024, at the age of 74.
She is survived by her loving husband Richard T. King, brother, Hal Rowley (Kathy), sister, Bonnie Workman (Dave), daughter, Kelli Lovinggood (Grant), grandchildren, Katelyn Lovinggood, and Dalton Lovinggood, and nieces and nephews.
Cheryl worked in Selma as a nuclear medicine technologist. She was known for her kindness, heart of service, creativity, and her love for the Lord. She touched the lives of many with her contagious laughter and bright smile.
Cheryl’s legacy lives on through her family and the memories shared by those who were fortunate enough to know her. The family appreciates support and prayer during this difficult time.
The family received friends at Greensboro Baptist Church on Monday, January 15, from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. A funeral service led by Bob Armstrong of Blue Jean Church to celebrate Cheryl’s life followed at Greensboro Baptist Church (908 Main Street).
Pallbearers were Dalton Lovinggood, Ryan McConnell, Alex McConnell, Miller Arendale, Seph Lee, and Bill Lee.
