Juanita Mitchell Rawls, 90 of Marion, AL went peacefully to her heavenly home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on April 13, 2024. She was born on June 21, 1933, in Sprott, AL to Beatrice Morris Mitchell and Ernest Mitchell.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her children Reginald (Rex), Susan and Ray Rawls; her brothers John Mitchell (Willie Pearl), Cecil Mitchell (Jewel), and Ernest Lee Mitchell; her sisters Nanny Mitchell, Ida Fondren (Ellis), Mary Etta Hughey (George), Ethel Holifield (Myron), Louise Richey (Leo), and Christine Martin (Kenneth).
She is survived by her numerous nieces and nephews and her sister-inlaw Carolyn Mitchell, a very special best friend, Mary Ann Pickle, and a fur baby, Cindy.
A graveside service and a Celebration of Life was held on April 19, 2022 at 2:00 pm at Greenwood Cemetery in Montgomery, AL with the Rev. Ed Pickle officiating and Kirk Funeral Homes, Greensboro Chapel directing. Her nephews served as pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Ivey’s Chapel Cemetery Fund in care of David Ivey, 1803 Oakcrest Drive, Marion, AL 36756, or to a charity of your choice.
