Ralph Holley passed away January 9, 2025 at the age of 73. He was born December 7, 1951 to the late Elam Parrish Holley , Sr. and Kathleen Tanton Holley.
Ralph was the driving force behind Holley Farm and Garden in Selma, later renamed Holley True Value, which he started in the 1970s. The business thrived on the corner of Water Ave and Martin Luther King Street, in a building his father constructed in the 1960s. Ralph dedicated his life to serving the community until his retirement in 2009. He will be remembered for his hard work, generosity, and the legacy he built in Selma.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Pat Conway Holley and sisters, Martha (Pete) Roberts and Barbara (William) Cezar;
He is survived by sons, Ralph William “Will” (Sabrina) Holley, Jr. and James Alden (Karen) Holley; grandchildren, Ralph William Holley, III, Olivia Anne Holley, James Alden Holley, Jr., Aris Celine (Zachary) Liveoak and Jada Michelle Pilgrim; greatgrandchildren, Stetson Liveoak and Weston Liveoak; brother, Elam (Sandra) Holley, Jr.; sistersin- law, Beth (Dean Rogers) Godfrey and Denise Conaway Hayes; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were Tuesday, January 14, 2025 at 12:00 p.m. in the chapel of Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home with Pastor Joe N. Brown officiating. Interment followed at New Live Oak Cemetery.
