Community listening session will be held today, Feb. 20, on future of Uniontown

Residents of Uniontown are encouraged to attend a community listening session on Thursday, February 20, 2025, at the Uniontown Recreation Center. The event, organized by Blackbelt Women Rising and Blackbelt Citizens Fighting for Health and Justice, will be moderated by The People’s Justice Council.

The Uniontown Unites: Listening Session aims to provide a platform for residents to voice concerns and share ideas about pressing local issues, including health, civic matters, water infrastructure, and community development. Organizers hope the session will foster dialogue and collaboration to build a stronger, healthier community.

Two sessions will be held:

  • 12:00 – 1:30 p.m.
  • 6:00 – 7:30 p.m.

Free meals will be provided at both sessions.

“Your voice matters,” organizers said in a statement.

“This is your opportunity to make a difference in your community and help shape its future.”
