George, affectionately known as “Billy”, was born to the late Craig and Angeline Cephus on January 28, 1944 in Hale County, Alabama, passed away on March 26, 2022. He served proudly in the military and returned home to work as a farmer until he retired. Taking joy in the simple things in life and valuing his relationships with those closest to him, he will be missed. Survived by his children, Johnny Williams, Lesia Patton, Andria Petty, Meredith (Vincent) Banks, and Roman Cephus; sibling Patsy Jenkins; niece Gretta Jenkins; nephews Steven Cephus and Shawn Jenkins; grandchildren, Takaila Spence, Keywuana Willams, Darrinetta Williams, Charles Williams, and Sydeny Petty; eleven great-grandchildren; as well as many cousins and friends. Funeral services were held on April 2, 2022, 1PM at Guinea Cemetery with Washington and Paige Mortuary directing.
